Here are five things we love about St. John Paul II Preparatory School:
- JPII is first and foremost a community of Catholics striving together to live the Faith with confidence and joy.
- JPII’s classical curriculum puts them in contact with the greatest minds of Western Civilization and frees them to carry on the work of civilization and Christian culture.
- JPII’s teachers work closely with their parent co-teachers to ensure seamless application of our hybrid model; they challenge students with every step to analyze, compare, evaluate, and create.
- JPII’s students learn independence and self-efficacy through the hybrid model, and so are better equipped to grow in God’s grace and use their talents.
- JPII’s close-knit “community of friends” works together with a level of courtesy, generosity, helpfulness, and kindness that is seldom experienced in organizations; people treat one another with a high degree of Christian charity and respect.
Mission
To provide students with excellence in education, both academically and spiritually, in order to prepare them to become faith-filled adults who will live and defend the Catholic faith with confidence and joy.
Purpose
Students at JPII participate in a rigorous program of religious formation that fosters the alliance of faith and reason. Students can attend Mass, Eucharistic Adoration, and the Liturgy of the Hours. Our younger students participate in Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, and our older students receive deep theological and historically grounded religious instruction. Students also eagerly participate in the annual rosary challenge, last year topping 6,000 rosaries prayed across the school. All classes, not just religion, are taught from an unabashedly Catholic perspective.
Quality
As a PreK-12 program, JPII provides a holistic classical education that trains students in the skills of memorization, analysis, and synthesis. The curriculum combines a rigorous and hands-on exposure to the achievements of modern science and mathematics with an integrated humanities program that sets the great literature and ideas of Western Civilization in the historical context in which they occurred.
Dynamic Community
Our families come together from over 40 ZIP codes to pursue sainthood together for themselves and their children. The innovative nature of our hybrid structure allows parents to truly participate in their children's education and formation, and it allows high school students to be placed in part-time internships in fields of interest to them, preparing them for dynamic and successful futures.
