Inclusive education for students with special needs rising in Catholic schools - from St. Louis Review

Catholic schools across the Archdiocese of St. Louis are strengthening their commitment to inclusive education, expanding opportunities for students with special needs to learn and thrive alongside their peers. A recent survey confirms that Catholic schools are seeing a growing demand for special education services and have increased efforts to support students with diverse learning needs. 

Inclusive education is a way of “ensuring that we’re living out a Catholic mission through honoring the dignity of a person and what it truly means to be pro-life and respecting the dignity of all human life,” said Kimberly Huelsing, director of special education and inclusion with the archdiocesan Office of Catholic Education and Formation.
