SSECC is a year-round child development program. We believe in promoting life-long learning in a religious, caring, home-like environment. Children are encouraged to make individual choices and actively explore in this creative atmosphere.

The Preschool program is designed for children ages six weeks through five years of age and focuses on the child's social, emotional, physical, intellectual and spiritual aspects of development.
The teaching of a cognitive oriented curriculum (C. O. C.) program will challenge the minds of our children while stimulating all aspects of growth and development. The child staff ratios we are using are in compliance with state regulations and are: children six weeks through one year old 1:4, one to two years old 1:8, two and a half through four-years old 1:10, and children five and older 1:16.

The mission of Simon Says Early Childhood Center is to bring the Good News of Jesus Christ to each member of our faith community through Scripture which presents the good news in a nurturing, positive, learning environment according to the example of Christ. The program enriches the Christian lives of both the children and their parents, while also creating more “Family Time” due to our wide variety of unique services. Our Catechesis of the Good Shepherd focuses on building a relationship with God through working in a quiet atrium using tangible centers explaining Jesus' journey and exploring scripture. The staff at Simon Says Early Childhood Center is here to facilitate parent education which is the key to success in your child's life. "You and your child are the most important ingredients for our success!"

Mission

The mission of Simon Says Early Childhood Center is to bring the Good News of Jesus Christ to each member of our faith community through scripture which presents the good news in a nurturing, positive, learning environment according to the example of Christ.

Purpose

The program enriches the Christian lives of both the children and their parents, while also creating more “Family Time” due to our wide variety of unique services. Our Catechesis of the Good Shepherd focuses on building a relationship with God through working in a quiet atrium using tangible centers explaining Jesus' journey and exploring scripture.

Quality

Each age group has a Theme based curriculum along with a letter that they study weekly. This Cognitive Orientated Curriculum is designed to meet all of the children right where they are in their personal journey enriching the social, emotional, physical, intellectual and spiritual aspects of development. Our math program is called “Math Their Way” and our writing program is called “Handwriting Without Tears”.

Dynamic Community

We ensure a dynamic future by exposing our children to a daily faith based routine enriching their self help skills, self esteem and most of all worldly challenges. This gives our children the comfort to explore new adventures with the passion of learning.

Statistics

We have several programs designed by our parents to help support their needs: take out meal, babysitting, etc.
We have a year round infant -12 year program that encompasses the entire family and their needs
Our center has several long term staff which is a good reflection on the school. We rotate our teachers every year to give them a new perspective and to learn to embrace the whole child. This keeps them stimulated, educated and eager to teach.
The families take dance and gymnastics on a smaller scale in the preschool so that the children aren’t over stimulated by the big areas used typically to teach these skills in a commercial setting.
Our Pre-K children have 4th grade buddies and attend all of the grade schools specialty classes: Art, Computer, Gym, and Music.
