Mission

St. Anthony Catholic School strives to be faithful to the Gospel, echoing Jesus’ words: “I am the way, the truth and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me” (John 14:5-7). We form and challenge each child to reach his or her potential while developing his or her Christian, Catholic faith and addressing the needs of the whole child: spiritual, intellectual, social, emotional, aesthetic, and physical. We work toward awareness of individual dignity and freedom through education and Christian service. We play an integral part in the family life of our students, while recognizing the parents as the primary educators of their children.

Purpose

We, the St. Anthony Parish School Community, attempt to build on the spirit and values of the Gospel in proclaiming social justice and peace for all. We work toward awareness of individual dignity and freedom through education and Christian service.

The St. Anthony Parish School Community plays an integral part in the family life of its students, while recognizing the parents as the primary educators of their children.

As an educational body, we are aware that the family status is ever changing and we make every attempt to meet these changing needs. Parents, students, parish and staff are mutually enriched as we work together in developing each student’s talents, gifts, and values.

Quality

Students develop a heart and mind for God through their participation in liturgical celebrations, church traditions and devotions as well as school wide service projects. Students are encouraged to build a relationship with Jesus Christ through these activities as well as faith journals and classroom discussions.  The staff continually models Christian values and expectations to the students, setting an example for them to follow.

Dynamic

St. Anthony believes in developing a child's creativity, critical thinking and sense of responsibility with a hands on approach to learning.  Our teachers use a variety of tools to help students explore and understand and achieve curriculum goals.  This includes manipulatives, group projects, independent learning, STEM activities, use of technology and good old fashioned homework practice.

St. Anthony is a small, close knit and supportive community.  We encourage family involvement with activities to connect home and school such as faith projects, fundraisers and student presentations.  Our sports programs are inclusive to foster acceptance, growth and teamwork.  Clubs are tailored to suit interests of students and promote development of social and life skills. We also offer Spanish to K-8 students, have a Motor Lab, and employ a Resource teacher to help struggling students.
